Court Ruling Embodies His Majesty the King’s Vision for the Rule of Law and Judicial Confidence

AMMAN – The ruling issued by the Amman Criminal Court in the criminal case known as the “Safe Theft” reflects the approach of the Jordanian state in consolidating the rule of law, as one of the fundamental pillars that His Majesty King Abdullah II has always emphasized in the process of modernizing the country and strengthening its institutions.
The ruling, that convicted all the defendants and imposed statutory penalties and ordered them to pay civil compensation, fees, expenses and legal interest, indicates the practical application of the principle of equality before the law. It also reinforces the independence of the judiciary as the guardian of rights and the protector of justice.
On this occasion, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD) affirmed that this ruling represents a clear model of the efficiency of the Jordanian judicial system in enforcing the law and achieving justice, in a manner that enhances trust in national institutions committed to applying the law equally and without exception.
For his part, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.GD founder and chairman, stated that His Majesty the King has always emphasized on various occasions that the rule of law is the cornerstone upon which the country is founded and the true guarantee to protect rights and freedoms of all citizens, in addition to enhancing independence and trust in the country’s institutions.  
He concluded that this ruling stands as a manifestation of this Royal vision, confirming that the independent, free, and impartial Jordanian judiciary continues to carry out its duty to uphold the truth, enforce the law equally and transparently, in a manner that strengthens legal security and protects the rights of individuals and institutions.
