President of the Republic of Iraq Honors Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh with the Stele of Hammurabi Shield

BAGHDAD - President of the Republic of Iraq, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, presented the Stele of Hammurabi Shield to HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD).

This honoring came during the recent visit of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh to Iraq, where the two parties discussed means of enhancing cooperation in various fields.
It is worth mentioning that the Stele of Hammurabi honorary shield symbolizes meanings of justice and principles of standing against oppression and chaos, and is considered one of the most important artifacts and legal documents in the history of humankind, and one of the symbols of the Iraqi national identity.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in this honor, in view of what the Stele of Hammurabi represents of legal and civilizational legacy that reflects the deep-rooted history of Iraq and its importance in establishing rules of justice and human laws.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh concluded by referring to many indications that demonstrate the great civilizations that were established in Iraq, noting that the oldest bookkeeping records were discovered in Iraq, the Land of the Two Rivers.
